WHO'S DOING WHAT?
by lois and amazing

#Just4fun's resident movie star is Carol^, who just finished working as an extra in Oliver Stone's new movie "Any Given Sunday" - about the Dallas Knights and Miami Sharks. Among the stars are Al Pacino, Matthew Modine, Cameron Diaz, Lauren Holly, Dennis Quade, LL Cool J, Jamie Foxx, James Woods, Ann Margaret, Charlton Heston. She got paid for having fun, but worked long hours - one week 109 1/2 hours...and they got fed well! It was filmed at Texas Stadium in Dallas, for probably September release. Her extra scene will probably take up 15 minutes of film and shots of her may end up on the cutting room floor. (Don't blink!)

Lady D of #autism celebrated her 7th wedding anniversary on June 6th.

Tortuga of #norwich is enjoying a free trip to Washington DC, as her daughter won a History Day contest in Oregon and a free trip. Tortuga is chaperoning the 6 teen-age winners for the week's tour of the capitol. Good luck, Tortuga!

Gyrene, IRCop of #norwich, helped move his son from MD to NC. Gyrene did not lose a son, but gained a computer room!

Brad of #SLIRC_Cafe and #Norwich was being consoled by his friends...both his car and his computer gave up the same week! He also reports that the Cafe is temporarily out of Camel Stew, as the EPA was hot on his heels.

Congrats to chief301 and his family on the move to their new home. We hope they have many wonderful and happy years there!!

Ellie of #Itsy and #Scorp's-Place finally arrived home from Yuma at the end of May. They had been hoping to be home much earlier than that buta car accident delayed them by a few weeks. Glad everything is fine now ellie!!

ROVING REPORTER's diggings: IRCop Chiefy forgot that Deathstar signs the originator's name to globals. He did a global in the middle of an Oper meeting to wish someone happiness on her 74th birthday. Well, it was her birthday, but not that many years!

Suggestions were made to send a small gas pipe to chiefy's office so he could practice jumping over it unobserved...but wondered who would pay their bail if they were caught.

FOGWEB FOLLIES
A short column of made-up facts and non-information brought to you by your friendly neighborhood arachnid

FOGWEB FOLLIES will not be presented in this issue. The blue spider got all 40 fingers (toes) tangled up in his web, but promises he will be untangled by next month!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Compaq Company has announced that it has developed a hand-held Linux computer called The Itsy. (Honest, folks!) It will not be sold at retail just now. We hear rumors that production is being held up because a blue spider is asking for royalties on the name.!

SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round,
or listened to rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's eratic flight,
or gazed at the sun fading into the night?
You had better slow down, don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.

Do you run through the day on the fly,
when you ask "How are you?" do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed, with the
next hundred chores running through your head?
You had better slow down, don't dance so fast,
Time is short, the music won't last.

Ever told your child, we'll do it romorrow,
And in your haste, not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die,
'cause you never had time to call and say "Hi"?
You had better slow down, don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.

IRC FRIENDSHIPS

As we sit in front of our computers during the day and night
Many times we do encounter a fight
Opinions are different and ways of thinking are not the same
But to each other we still came
For good times and bad
When we were happy or even when we were sad
For from each other there is a lot to learn
Once we opened up our minds, our hearts were soon to follow
Which made our hearts no longer seem as hollow
Friendships for 'irc friends' are long-lasting and true
Because from heart-felt, in-depth conversations these friendships grew
Days and nights, together we spend
Broken hearts we all help to mend
From each other much strength we do pull
So to have just one friend like this it is truly a miracle
But to have many friends like our 'irc friends' we are truly blessed
