Thanks once again to TooShy and MikeChat for an awesome Hallowe'en color show that they put on and shared with over 80 users on Oct 30th!!! A record number of users that night!!
StarLink-IRC was very fortunate to have 2 color shows in one night. One was in #Pop_Art and the other was in #mirc_colors.

  • The show in #Pop_Art was put on by Aisa and was ascii art. Great job Aisa!!!..
  • #mirc_colors put on Angels on Parade...was wonderful art work (and if I do say so myself, I kind of liked the Amazing angel)..heheh

There will be some color shows and scavenger hunts in December so watch your mail for dates and times :)
By the way, remember that StarLink-IRC has a few great word game channels. There is #Trivia, and #Scramble. As you enter each of these channels a message comes up asking for new puzzles or trivia questions and where to send them. If you have any that you would like added, please check out the email addresses in each of these channels and send them in.

WHO'S DOING WHAT?
by lois and amazing
  • Druid's daughter has presented her with a grandson, Joseph Alexander, on 11/11/99. His 8 lbs 11 oz is exactly the same weight as his mother's weight when she was born!
  • Jimhou of Houston (#Norwich) is home recovering from four bypasses, which left him quite sore.
  • Lois and daughter Tortuga of #Norwich escaped for a week on the island of Moorea (11 miles off Tahiti) for some sun, snorkling, eating great stuff and relaxing...and getting of sunburn, mosquito bites and tatoos! :)) Hey, that's what you do in Tahiti!!

(Tell us what's happening on your channel - send info to newsletter@starlink-irc.org)

FOGWEB FOLLIES
A short column of made-up facts and non-information brought to you by your friendly neighborhood arachnid

One of our residents, Bigbro, owner of #Autism told the blue one that his message board went over 1 million hits this week. (Last time your resident sphere had a million hits it was a cheap piano bar next to the mall .. but thats another story you don't want to hear.)

Through careful investigative work, your intrepid arachnid has discovered a DASTARDLY PLOT BY UNDERNET TO TAKE OVER SL-IRC!!... Yes! Its true. Webby has opened up #canadian here .. a long known undernet channel. So bolt the doors.. lock up the kids.. sell the dog.. (mix and match those three any way you like.. they all work) .. but the undernet invasion has BEGUN.

firetrukA nasty rumor regarding firefighters, dragons and trucks has been going around the net as fast as .. um.. quickly. Using photojournalistic techniques usually reserved for publications like the Enquirer, your whiz bang spider has uncovered the definitive photo available EXCLUSIVELY here in the follies.

Til next time.. watch your back.. there could be a spider behind you :)

Itsy

Oh, this is the next to LAST follies for this millenium. Makes you sad doesn't it?..
um.. DOESNT IT ???
ok. thats better.
we now return to your regularly scheduled newsletter.
